Online payment is generally made through WorldPay secure payment system.
Alternative payment methods are by direct bank transfer and, popular with
our American customers, PayPal (you need to contact us to pay by PayPa).
For your security credit card details are never available to the retailer
when you use WorldPay. We only know which type of credit card you have
used to make a transaction but nothing more. Because we don't have your
credit card details we don't have to worry about keeping them secure.
However it does also mean that we cannot accept credit card details over
the 'phone.
Our careful procedures have resulted in 100% fraud prevention to date.
This is to protect ourselves but also to provide a public service - one
which the banks and police seem to have little interest in. To ensure
that fraud does not take place we do not automatically accept payment
from your card even though you may receive an email from WorldPay saying
that you have paid. Every transaction is carefully vetted before payment
is accepted and no money will be removed from your card unless we are
confident the transaction is genuine - and we reserve the right to refuse
to go ahead with a transaction for which we have not accepted payment
or to refund payment in full, without giving a reason. The care with which
we do this does mean that from time to time we find ourselves checking
on genuine customers who have made minor mistakes when completing their
payment form. To these we apologise.
We do not accept payment withoug consulting the customer for a product
if we do not have it in stock or if we anticipate any problem obtaining
it. We will always seek your agreement to continue with the purchase of
non-stock items. If it is likely that an item will take more than 28 days
we will seek your written approval to continue with the order.
Returns
We have doubled the legal minimum for product approval to 14 days. This
means that if you are not satisfied with a product you may return it in
merchantable condition and in its original packaging for a full refund.
In its original packaging refers to the plastic stickers on the back of
the watch case and to the identifying tag to be found on the strap (when
such a tag is present). This does not apply to bespoke items - ones that
have been specially commissioned to be different from standard. Our standards
exceed the legal minimum and comply with the highest recommendations of
the Office of Fair Trading.
All our products are dispatched using a 'signed for' service, whether
here in the UK or abroad. Items in the post are the responsibility of
sender until they have been signed for - this complies with UK law.
